ASSISTANT FITNESS MANAGER & GROUP COACH – F45 KINGSTON WEST

Status: Full-Time (Approx. 40 hrs/week)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid CPR/AED Certification
  • Group Fitness or Personal Training certification (CanFitPro, ACE, NASM, or equivalent)
  • 1–2 years of experience in a fitness or studio coaching role
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity (formal or informal)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of functional training, exercise science, and anatomy
  • Ability to multitask between coaching, administration, and team support
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALITIES

  • Prior F45 or boutique studio coaching experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems, retail sales, and basic inventory management
  • Sales or marketing background within the fitness or wellness industry
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Bilingual or multilingual is an asset
  • A passion for fitness, teamwork, and building community

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Fitness Manager who also serves as a Group Fitness Coach. This hybrid role supports the Studio Manager in day-to-day operations while actively coaching members on the training floor. Ideal candidates have a passion for fitness, strong organizational skills, and the ability to inspire both team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities* Studio Operations & Leadership Support

  • Assist the Studio Manager with daily operations and administrative tasks
  • Support in recruiting, training, and mentoring coaching staff to ensure service excellence
  • Help manage staff scheduling, payroll assistance, and timekeeping
  • Participate in implementing customer service and sales training programs for staff
  • Monitor inventory and assist in equipment and retail product purchasing
  • Execute merchandising and marketing initiatives to support studio sales goals
  • Maintain studio cleanliness, safety standards, and operational efficiency
  • Step in to supervise team members and resolve issues in the absence of the manager

  • Group Coaching & Member Engagement

  • Lead high-energy F45 group training sessions following the F45 format

  • Provide real-time coaching cues to ensure proper form, technique, and safety
  • Onboard and orient new members to ensure a welcoming start
  • Cultivate a positive, motivating atmosphere within the studio
  • Assist in planning and delivering community events, member challenges, and retention strategies
