EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma, or the equivalent preferred.
  • ATSSA certified flagger required.
  • OSHA 10 required OSHA 30 preferred.
  • ATSSA TCT and/or ATSSA TCS, preferred.
  • Traffic Control Design Specialist (TCDS) preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Management experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Clear background.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and information in English.
  • Ability to use personal computer and hand-held applications.
  • An ability to work flexible shifts/hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at varying locations.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast pace and high-volume environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must present a professional, friendly image and appearance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and submit quotes for equipment rentals and traffic control.
  • Submit departmental billing.
  • Assist in scheduling of department staff.
  • Coordinate permitting as required per event or project.
  • Review and advise on traffic control plans (TCP).
  • Manage the setting up special events and traffic control.
  • Provide advice and assistance to top management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures.
  • Hire, train and mentor traffic control/event staff on safety procedures, traffic management techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Act as a liaison between upper management and staff to coordinate special event activities and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, and licensing.
  • Managing maintenance program, records, and insurance of entire fleet of vehicles, VMS boards and other equipment.
  • Work in concert with all departments.
  • Maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings; attend other meetings with business partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
