At Whittlebury Park, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager eager to elevate their career by joining our dynamic and vibrant Food & Beverage Department.
Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers a 254-bedroom, four-star hotel, conference and training centre, and award-winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, luxurious spa, and a 36-hole championship golf course.
Salary: £32,000 to £34,000 depending on experience, based on 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the operation of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring each is a beacon of hospitality, warmth, and impeccable service.
  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager in fostering a positive team culture, ensuring effective communication and training to meet business needs.
  • Review employee performance to maintain high standards of service and ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Identify new avenues for revenue generation and enhance upselling techniques across our various outlets.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have strong management and leadership skills and be experienced in effective financial management. You will be highly adaptable and have excellent attention to detail. You will also have experience in a similar high-volume 4- or 5-star hotel and hold a Level 2 personal licence. You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in food & beverage and experience of managing large teams.
Your areas of work can include working in our restaurants, bars, and leisure club. Your work will cover a variety of different functions including weddings, banquets, and estate events. The hours of work vary and will include weekends, late evenings, and holiday periods.
