PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Assistant F&B Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior F&B Manager in overseeing the culinary landscape of our dining establishments. This position involves active participation in daily operations, team leadership, and collaboration with various departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the food and beverage department of a hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, service standards, and culinary trends
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation, development, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification.
  • Knowledge of Squirrel POS system (asset)
  • Relevant certifications in hospitality or culinary arts (advantageous)

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in managing and supervising all aspects of the food and beverage department in the Main Lodge at Emerald Lake Lodge, including dining establishment, staff, menus, and guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality standards in food presentation, ensuring alignment with the overall vision of CRMR.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, drive revenue growth, and maintain exceptional standards.
  • Supervise and lead all front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Assume a leadership role in the absence of the Senior Food & Beverage Manager, addressing operational challenges and maintaining exceptional service levels.
  • Engage with guests, gather feedback, and proactively address inquiries, concerns, and special requests to ensure personalized and memorable experiences.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Enforce procedures regarding payments, voids, and deletions.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience and reduce service recovery.
  • Create and assist in the development of SOPs to reduce wastage, spillage, and theft.
  • Perform any other duties as required or communicated by the Senior F&B Managers
