Assistant Food & Beverage Manager | Full Time | InterContinental Sydney Double B


Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage and in alignment with IHG brand standards and hotel policies, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to‑day operation of all food and beverage outlets. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading and developing high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence and commercial success.


At InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, the Assistant F&B; Manager oversees a diverse portfolio of venues, including The Bar , The Restaurant, Bayside Bistro & Bar , In Room Dining and the hotel's premium beverage and dining experiences, while also supporting the delivery of special events.


The position requires a hands‑on leader who can drive service excellence, coach and motivate teams, maintain financial performance, and ensure seamless execution of both restaurant and event operations. Success in the role is achieved through a solid focus on guest satisfaction, team engagement, operational efficiency, and upholding the luxury standards synonymous with the InterContinental brand.


Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


Manage the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service standards and smooth shift execution.


Plan, delegate, and monitor daily tasks to ensure efficient outlet operations and guest satisfaction.


Prepare and manage rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with business demands.
