JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Food Service Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our food service establishment. This position involves assisting with the management of daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service, and leading a team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with experience in both quick service and fine dining environments.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in food service
  • Strong background in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen management within various dining environments (quick service, casual dining, fine dining).
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting within the food industry.
  • Experience with POS systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the Food Service Manager in managing staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in inventory control processes, including ordering supplies and managing food production levels.
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed, including operating POS systems
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the food service department.
  • Implement training and development programs for staff to enhance skills in food handling, cooking techniques, and customer interaction.
  • Supervise shift operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
