ASSISTANT COACH – CORK (TEMPO FOOTBALL ACADEMY)

The Assistant Coach – Cork will support the delivery of Tempo Football Academy’s full-time Transition Year (TY) football and education programme, while also contributing to the wider growth of our academies, camps, and community programmes across the region.
This role is ideal for an ambitious coach who wants to develop within a professional academy environment, gain experience across multiple programmes, and contribute to the holistic development of young players. A background in strength & conditioning or athletic development is a strong advantage.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: €15.00-€20.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 15 per week

Responsibilities
  • TY Programme Delivery
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily coaching sessions, ensuring Tempo’s methodology and high-performance standards are maintained.
  • Support individual and group development through tailored coaching, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Work collaboratively with the athletic development staff to integrate fitness, S&C, and injury prevention into the programme.
  • Programme Support
  • Deliver sessions across Tempo’s Junior Academy, camps, and clinics.
  • Provide additional hours in other programmes (including schools, partner clubs, and tournaments).
  • Support recruitment activities, open days, and Tempo showcase events.
  • Player Development & Welfare
  • Monitor player progress and provide feedback under the guidance of the Head Coach.
  • Act as a positive role model, ensuring a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
  • Team Contribution
  • Work closely with the Head Coach and wider staff to ensure smooth running of the Cork centre.
  • Contribute ideas and energy to help grow Tempo’s programmes and maintain a culture of excellence.
