About The Role - Te Mahi We are currently looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to support the Front Office manager in ensuring operations and guest satisfaction, as well as the financial results of the department are achieved. This is a key role that supports the Front Office Manager in training and developing the Front Office team at Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel. This is a Full Time permanent role (minimum of 40 hours per week on a rotational roster) is based at Sudima Auckland Airport and the salary for this role is $70,000 per annum. Responsibilities | Ngā Haepapa Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities. Supervising security arrangements, and garden and property maintenance. Planning and supervising bar, restaurant, function and conference activities. Overseeing accounting and purchasing activities. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. May provide guests with local tourism information, and arrange tours and transportation. Manage Front Office Operations including rostering, ensuring staffing levels cover business demands in the most cost-effective manner Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures Complete a month end reporting on the department Obtain maximum occupancy and average rate Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office team with an emphasis on training and teamwork Assist Front Desk during busy check in and check out to ensure guests are receiving the best possible services Ensure department meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated Manage, train, and develop the Front Office team Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and amendments, Smoke Free Environments Act 1990 and the Gambling Act 2003 – New Zealand Legislation About you | Ko koe tēnei We seek a team member with great attitude, and addition to that the following skills and qualifications will see you succeed in this role. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed below. In some instances relevant experience and/or on the job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
