What you’ll do as an AGM: As an Assistant General Manager, you’re the glue that keeps the good vibes flowing. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the GM to keep the restaurant running smoothly, lead and coach the team, and make sure every guest leaves feeling like a regular. What we are looking for: Run the floor - keep service smooth, energy high, and guests happy Own the bar - managing the team + making sure everything run smooth everyday Be the face of hospitality - table touches, guest chats, and making someone’s day Problem-solve on the fly and keep the good vibes going, even when things get busy. Coach, train, and develop your team so everyone grows together Support daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth execution of service standards, team flow, and guest experience Assist the GM in driving financial performance by monitoring labor, inventory, and cost controls Actively engage with guests through meaningful table visits, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty Model bartaco hospitality standards and ensure the team delivers consistent, memorable guest interactions Help lead, train, and mentor the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, reinforcing a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork Assist with team scheduling, pre-shift communication, and delegation to ensure each shift is well-orchestrated Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to maintain quality, consistency, and cleanliness standards Participate in inventory management and ordering, ensuring accuracy and proactive issue resolution Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets health and safety regulations and brand standards Support the GM in local marketing efforts, community engagement, and driving restaurant visibility Take ownership of shift leadership responsibilities, problem-solving in real time, and maintaining team morale Contribute to training and onboarding efforts, setting new hires up for success, and ongoing development Help communicate and implement company rollouts and initiatives across the team Serve as a brand and culture ambassador, modeling bartaco values and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace Requirements What You Bring 3+ years of restaurant leadership experience A passion for people & hospitality Strong communication + leadership skills A knack for training, coaching, and bringing out the best in others Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an “I’ve got this” attitude Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Comfortable being on your feet during busy shifts Able to lift up to 50 pounds Perks, Benefits + Rewards Competitive pay Paid time off Meal discounts Gym + fitness discounts Virtual pet care Student loan assistance Language learning opportunities Mental health + holistic wellness support Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match It’s a vibe.
