POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Haddonfield Cafe Lift location. This role partners closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, maintain high service standards, and lead a motivated team to deliver memorable brunch experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic inventory management
  • Food Safety Certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Passion for brunch culture, hospitality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience

Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, including opening/closing procedures
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards and respond to guest inquiries or issues promptly
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls to ensure efficiency and minimize waste
  • Help develop and implement policies, procedures, and health/safety standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and menu execution
  • Assist in organizing events, seasonal promotions, or community outreach initiatives
  • Step in as acting manager when the General Manager is off-site
