Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Hotel Co 51. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. Moxy Utrecht is now searching for an energetic and ambitious Assistant Hotel Manager, called the Assistant Captain. As Assistant Captain you have an eye for details and you know what is expected of you to give the guest a MOXY EXPERIENCE. You are proactive, kind and helpful and you are a visible leader for the team. You are responsible for ensuring that all procedures are followed according to certain standards. You check whether the crew carries out these procedures and other tasks in accordance with the regulations and you direct them where necessary. You are also the first point of contact for employees and new applicants, and make sure that they are well trained and have access to all necessary systems. By doing so, you strive for a professional appearance of the hotel, ensuring that the crew can perform their work properly and enjoyably. Furthermore, you fully support the Hotel Manager (Captain) with financial and budget related tasks. Together you ensure that you are in line with the budget and forecast, and discuss sales strategies and rates for rooms. You also perform administrative tasks and ad hoc activities, such as checking invoices and solving guest issues. You are part of the Management team, together with the Hotel Manager (Captain). Together you supervise the Crew Leaders and Crew Members. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (together with the Captain) Recruit and train the crew, as well as having the right tools needed to give the MOXY Experience. Make sure that the guest experience reaches the MOXY experience and is accurate to the MOXY Service Manual. Ensure social media is updated daily and follows MOXY's creative standards Ensure a profitable hotel operation according to defined goals and ambitions. Make sure that the hotel follows local law and regulations in every procedure. Be active and involved in the daily work of the crew. Close cooperation with the sales and revenue team, to make sure business is coming in at the right price.
