CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer Service (Maitre D’)
- Is an extremely active presence behind the bar and on the floor with guest interactions through water service, supporting the staff with a focus on the front door (greeting guests, awareness of our reservations and seating times, the last chance to quality check guest experiences on the way out), feedback gathering and networking throughout the night with the aim of 100% guest satisfaction
- Responsible for customer service standards for our Food program by auditing items as they go out, catching items and course-correcting where needed, monitoring and properly managing bill times
- Responsible for customer service standards for our Beverage program by auditing items as they go out, catching items and course-correcting where needed, monitoring and properly managing bill times
- Manages customer complaints through a number of ressources (promos, a reservation to return back, listening) and provides follow-up feedback to staff and Management
- Controls the Atmosphere of the venue through lighting, music direction, volume, guest signage placement and staff energy all within the brand direction (starts and ends days with walk-throughs and vibe checks throughout service)
- Must attend mandatory weekly manager meetings (typically Mondays)
- Requires flexibility and consideration when booking time off, especially around holidays and peaks throughout the year
- Time off must be requested and approved by Brian or Jennifer
Training
- Take all staff through our training program outlined in the employee hire package
- Take the time to walk each new staff through our drink and food menus, refocusing for new rollouts and supporting continued learning
- Ensure staff know entire menu, steps of service and have completed tests before given shifts on their own
- Assist in organizing staff outings to vineyards, breweries, distillers for training
Labor Controls
- Ensures schedules are completed weekly by both the FOH and BOH, audited and written according to labor targets while considering business needs
- Understands software data tools and staffing strategies to achieve labor targets
- Aims to increase revenue growth through marketing programs, monitoring KPIs, continuous staff training and host management
- Trains management team to be aware of the advantages of cross training in a variety of positions and uses educated and creative techniques to reduce labor
- Makes appropriate cuts to staff and fills in on the floor either as a host, server or bartender to minimize labor when needed
POS & Menu
- Menus are updated accurately and printed as needed
- POS accuracy reflects all menu options that are available, prices and descriptions and recipes input for each item
- All Servers are designated their Moneris Clerk IDs and input into POS
Communication, Reporting and Admin
- Downloads all necessary apps: ex. 7shifts, WhatsApp, Weathernetwork, etc
- Writes in the Manager Log on 7shifts to communicate as clearly as possible with the rest of the management team – End of Day Report
- Keeps up with the previous shift’s End of Day Report so that they’re aware of anything that can affect service (86s, staff issues, maintenance, etc) and actions are taken. Ex., low stock, maintenance issues, promos.
- Is an active member of all our communication groups (Management, departments, staff outings, etc)
- Ensures daily/weekly cashouts are done to 100% accuracy by Monday morning, auditing deposits to ensure daily drops are done, cash and coins replaced in floats, ATMs are filled and hard counts are completed daily
- Weekly Venue evaluations (Reports include Weekly Sales, Weekly Labor targets, Food and Beverage Inventory, Staff) with Operations manager or Director
- Quarterly Staff evaluations and Disciplinary Actions
Promotions and Networking
- Takes steps daily to promote the business through social media channels
- Active member of the industry community; introduces themselves and the team to various businesses in the neighborhoods we operate
- Encourages and leads staff to explore local bars and restaurants to build our network
- Participates and supports internal sales initiatives and community event participation is encouraged
- Available resource for emergencies during the venue’s busiest periods
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will play a key role in executing Everyside’s vision for high quality food, always satisfying the needs of the individual restaurant and exceeding guest expectations.
As an exemplary leader on the management team, they ensure the restaurant’s success through high service standards and understands that our staff hold the keys to our success. The AGM creates a positive work environment, increases employee morale and supports them through training and has an active floor presence.
Secondary tasks will include supporting the GM in contributing to our quality standards, equipment maintenance, sanitation, cleanliness, safety, labor targets and cost controls.
