We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management, with the ability to motivate and develop a team while maintaining high operational standards. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong skills in cash handling and inventory management.
  • Ability to sell products effectively while providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with interviewing, recruiting, and employee orientation processes.
  • Proficiency in payroll management practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and their functionalities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or production leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety programs (GMPs, HACCP, SQF, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Handle cash management processes, including cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring stock levels are maintained and organized.
  • Engage with customers to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process for new team members.
  • Facilitate employee orientation and training programs to ensure staff are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Manage payroll processes accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning and execution of store initiatives.
  • Utilize POS systems for transaction processing, inventory tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of facility operations
  • Supervise and support department leaders across production, quality, maintenance, and logistics
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF, etc.)
  • Monitor performance metrics and assist with operational reporting and analysis
  • Help manage and develop staff, including scheduling, training, and evaluations
  • Lead or support investigations related to customer complaints and implement corrective actions
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability
  • Act as acting manager when the General Manager is unavailable
  • Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities
