QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of Restaurant Management experience with a full service and structured dining establishment.
  • Must have good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of appropriate sanitation procedures and regulations.
  • Understanding of cost and labour systems that lead to restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during peak business levels.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily management of restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and maximizing revenue by effectively overseeing reservations and optimizing dining room capacity during lunch and dinner service.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all front-of-house roles and provide support by performing duties in the absence of team members when necessary.
  • Foster the ongoing development of front-of-house team members through onboarding, regular performance evaluations, and consistent coaching, ensuring adherence to company and brand policies and performance standards.
  • Oversee the beverage program, including inventory management, reconciliation, and ordering, to ensure optimal stock levels and quality standards.
  • Monitor and uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards, as well as facility maintenance and accident prevention, to ensure a safe environment for both guests and employees.
  • Ensure all guest service touchpoints consistently meet or exceed Morton’s Grille standards, delivering a seamless and elevated guest experience.
  • Support the General Manager with recruitment efforts, including candidate evaluation and selection.
  • Prepare and maintain effective scheduling for front-of-house team members, aligned with business needs and labor standards.
  • Lead and participate in pre-shift and management meetings that are timely, engaging, and aligned with operational goals.
  • Assist with end-of-month inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Serve as a role model for exceptional guest service, consistently demonstrating professional conduct and service excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support evolving business operations.
