Position Summary The Assistant General Manager works alongside the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, support and develop staff, and deliver a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities (but not limited to): Manage, lead and mentor floor managers and staff Ensure service is maintained at the utmost of quality levels Develop risk management and mitigation strategies Represent the GM in investigating, answering, and settling grievances in absence of General Manager Maintain all corporate mandates update and track daily reports Analyze staffing requirements, develop iteration plans, and assess opportunities for future growth Assist general manager with recruitment efforts Coach and train management staff Responsible for Team performance – morale, productivity, fiscal responsibility Monitor activities and expenses Assist in setting and monitoring sales forecasts and profitability reports Keep General Manager informed of sales and key issues Increasing sales through marketing, networking and incentives for staff to raise guest check average. Assists in maintaining budgeted revenues, cost of sales (COS), labor, supplies and operating cash flow (OCF) Reviews monthly profit and loss statements and acts on all variances. Requirements Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service environment Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop management and hourly teams Strong understanding of daily restaurant operations and service standards Experience with scheduling, staffing analysis, and labor optimization Solid knowledge of restaurant financials, including sales, labor, COS, and P&L review Ability to maintain budgets, control expenses, and improve profitability Experience assisting with hiring, training, and performance management Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
