SUMMARY

FusionSite Services is looking for an ambitious and experienced leader in the transportation, waste management, or other route-based services industry to join our rapidly growing organization! The Assistant General Manager/Operations, will assist in the direction and supervision of the team and operations ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of safety and sales/productivity goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Five years of industry related experience, with 3 yrs. of people management required.
  • Demonstrated operational and/or financial management experience.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in business administration or logistics related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated training and/or mentoring experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure plans for daily activities related to logistics and operations including re-route and optimizations are aligned and executed.
  • Ensures safety standards are achieved in through assisting with reviews, coaching, and enforcement.
  • Reviews and/or completes the preparation of administrative reports for review and approval.
  • Measures productivity by analyzing customer feedback, performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Recommends pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
  • Works to meet unit performance standards including operation controls, safety and compliance with policies and procedures. Reviews and manages operations manuals, procedures, and policies ensuring that staff are properly trained and correctly utilizing PPE, equipment care, customer communication and safety.
  • Oversee the inventory, including final purchases, shipping, and receiving functions.
  • Determines labor needs to meet operations goals. Reviews and manages staffing procedures, ensuring that team assignments and responsibilities are reasonable, and supports hiring activities for business unit.
  • Conducts regular staff communications to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with unit team; provides guidance and leadership to enable team members to meet these goals and objectives.
  • Ensures team members are meeting all safety standards by abiding by all transportation laws, company policies, and maintaining a safe driving record. Coaches and manages disciplinary actions if out of performance.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
