Job Description:

  • Oversee all front-of-house (FOH) operations, including dining room, bar, and host stand, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for FOH supplies and beverages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor FOH staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback with the general manager
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
  • Schedule staff efficiently to optimize service and labor costs.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and inspire the team to deliver exceptional service
  • Ensure every guest receives outstanding service, exceeding expectations at all times.
  • Actively engage with guests, solicit feedback, and resolve any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service hours.
  • Cultivate a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for all diners.
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve revenue goals and manage expenses.
  • Monitor labor costs, food costs (FOH impact), and other operational expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities for sales growth and cost efficiencies.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Compliance & Administration:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including liquor laws and labor laws.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll processing, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in an Assistant General Manager or equivalent leadership role within a full-service dining environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a successful front-of-house team.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory management, labor scheduling, and cost control.
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with POS systems (Toast) and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • ServSafe certified

Compensation:

  • $65,000- $75,000 total compensation
