Situated in the heart of Glasgow’s Southside community, the Bungo Bar & Kitchen is now looking for a full time, permanent Assistant General Manager.
Working for an independent company you will have the chance to influence and shape the business whilst joining an experienced and committed team. The role benefits from a competitive salary paid on a weekly basis, supplemented by good tips and a quarterly bonus scheme.
All candidates must be able to demonstrate experience at this level & have a good understanding of what is required to run all aspects of a busy, high quality bar, restaurant & venue in the absence of the GM.

This will include:-

• superb customer service & menu knowledge
• effective communication skills (both inter-personal & across different mediums)
• the ability to recruit, train & coach staff
• an understanding of stock levels, cash management, health & safety compliance, cost controls & disciplinary procedures
• attention to detail & the setting of consistent standards across the business are key

As well as helping to make the business run efficiently, the successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate fantastic customer skills and a passion for creating great experiences. Barista & Cocktail knowledge are expected.
