ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Thompsons Restaurant & Bar - Cork City
Thompsons Restaurant & Bar is looking for an Assistant General Manager to assist with daily operations. We pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience, specializing in dry-aged steaks from local suppliers, cooked over charcoal in our Josper Grill and expert service.
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of food quality, service, and overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager with daily operations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and stock control.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
  • Help train and develop staff members, develop and maintain S.O.P’s
  • Develop rotas, stick to budgets and manage holiday requests effectively
  • Attend weekly management meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure restaurant success.
