THE OPPORTUNITY

Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. We are seeking a Food and Beverage leader with over 5+ years of food and beverage experience who will oversee our suites, clubs, catering, restaurants, concessions, and retail operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist General Manager in setting short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives that cover a range of areas, including people development, company policies and operating budgets
  • Oversee season planning process ensuring alignment with Delaware North, client expectations, and operational goals
  • Engages in the financial goals of the operation with support from the General Manager in budget planning, P&L management, financial reporting, action plans, and projections to ensure cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place
  • Review financial reports and developing action plans to best achieve business goals
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership and partners to drive menu development and associated operational enhancements
  • Identify opportunities and drive continual improvement in our location operations
  • Hire, train, and develop the team and ensure all team members at the unit are supported and managed effectively to provide an optimal experience for guests and team members
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and Delaware North team members
  • Maintains state, federal and business compliance, including responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirements
  • Special projects as assigned by upper management
