Assistant Store Managers serve as Manager on Duty, helping guide the team through busy shifts while maintaining the speed, cleanliness, and organization that Wally’s guests expect. You will work alongside the team, providing direction, adjusting priorities during busy periods, and ensuring the store remains clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready. This role also involves stepping into guest situations when concerns arise, supporting team members during difficult interactions, and reinforcing the service culture that defines Wally’s guest experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to strengthen team performance through coaching, accountability, and training. Assistant Store Managers help develop Leads and team members while maintaining clear expectations and consistent follow-through. Strong operational awareness is essential in this role. Assistant Store Managers help monitor safety practices, protect company assets, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are seeking a leader with experience in retail, convenience, hospitality, or food service management who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and leading teams during high-volume operations. The ideal candidate is confident on the floor, communicates clearly with team members, and maintains strong operational discipline while building a positive and respectful team culture. Successful Assistant Store Managers are organized, decisive, and able to balance guest service, team leadership, and operational execution during demanding shifts. This role requires flexibility to support store operations, including availability during peak business periods such as weekends and holidays.
