Position Overview The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in all aspects of operations while serving as a key leader for the team. The AGM ensures service runs smoothly, develops team members, and steps into leadership when the GM is absent. This role balances hospitality, financial knowledge, and operational systems while fostering a fun, professional, guest-focused culture. The AGM plays a vital role in succession planning, local brand engagement, and supporting Zinc’s mission to connect people through great food and thoughtful people. Key Responsibilities • Deliver hospitality and create personalized guest experiences. • Work with urgency and attention to detail. • Collaborate with teammates to maintain smooth operations. • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and pride in the workspace. • Follow food safety, sanitation, and internal audit practices. • Complete assigned shift duties reliably. Requirements Qualifications • Passion for hospitality and guest experience. • 2–4 years of progressive leadership experience in a full-service or premium casual restaurant • Food Handler’s Certification required RBS also required. • Self-starter with sense of urgency and attention to detail. • Proficiency with restaurant technology systems including Paylocity, Toast, Restaurant365, and similar platforms. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business. • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time. • Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
