Job Description Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa’s culture and service standards and reflects the values of Velaa Private Island. Prior experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping. Willingness to learn turf care practices, machinery operation, and course set-up. Basic knowledge of turf maintenance (mowing, watering, fertilizing, pest control. Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, irrigation systems). Assist in turf care practices such as aeration, top-dressing, overseeding, and fertilization. Ensure the golf course is presented at a consistently high standard for members and guests Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with Luxury Hotel/Resort. Excellent command of written & spoken English, fluency in other languages will be an advantage. Machine maintenance and repair background would be considered an advantage. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Flexible with duty hours & scope, and a team player. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Pesticide or turf care certification will be an advantage.
