Description Store Operations & Leadership Assist in managing day-to-day grocery department operations, including opening/closing procedures. Supervise, train, schedule, and support grocery clerks and stockers. Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and store standards. Lead by example in professionalism, customer service, and teamwork. Customer Experience Ensure customers receive prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Resolve customer concerns and escalations in a professional manner. Maintain well-organized aisles, displays, and signage to enhance the shopping experience. Merchandising & Inventory Assist with planning, building, and maintaining product displays and planograms. Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering needs to reduce waste and out-of-stocks. Participate in weekly inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy. Analyze sales trends and recommend adjustments to merchandising and product mix. Sales & Financial Support Support the Grocery Manager in achieving sales, margin, and shrink targets. Help manage departmental budgets, labor hours, and product ordering. Track promotional performance and ensure accurate pricing and signage. Safety & Compliance Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines. Ensure proper handling and storage of products. Maintain clean work areas, equipment, and stockrooms. Requirements Previous retail or grocery experience required; supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of inventory systems and merchandising principles. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
