Camrose Home Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Home Care Team as Assistant Head Nurse. As Assistant Head Nurse, you will report to the Site Manager providing client and family centered care and case management as required. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of staffing assignments and workload management. You will be responsible to liaison, facilitate, monitor and coordinate education for all staff as per CCHSS and AHS ACE requirements. Responsible for delegations for HCAs as required, coordination and facilitation of orientation of new staff, and arrange for educational in-services and liaise with the AHS educator/e-Doc team to facilitate required education. Be responsible to facilitate the orientation of new staff including HCAs, LPNs, RNs, Admin. You will be responsible for ride alongs and mentorship for HCAs, LPNs and RNs and providing the Site manager and HCA Team Lead with feedback. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will be responsible for staff assignments, patient flow and acting as a role model, clinical resource and advocate for nursing staff. In addition to providing frontline nursing care, as required, you will take a leadership role in the promotion of quality patient care and the implementation of operational priorities. Your in-depth knowledge and skills, advanced judgment and clinical experience, will assist in providing solutions for complex health care issues at all levels with patients, interprofessional teams, administrators and policy makers.
