The Opportunity The Assistant Head of School for Operations & Co-Curriculars is a strategic and visible leader who ensures the effective integration of the school’s operational systems and student life programs. Reporting directly to the Head of School, this role oversees campus operations, athletics, and co-curricular programming to ensure alignment with the school’s mission and long-term vision. The ideal candidate will be an operationally savvy, student-centered leader who understands that excellence in education relies equally on a well-run organization and an engaged community. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Head of School to oversee daily operations and execute strategic initiatives. Supervise athletics, student activities, and co-curricular programs to ensure breadth, balance, and mission alignment. Collaborate with the Director of Finance & Operations and facilities teams to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable campus operations. Develop systems that strengthen coordination between academic, operational, and extracurricular functions. Lead risk management, scheduling, and policy implementation across all divisions. Build partnerships across the school to foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation. Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile Demonstrated leadership experience in operations or program management within an educational or nonprofit setting. Proven success in cross-functional coordination, strategic planning, and team leadership. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complexity gracefully. A deep appreciation for co-curricular life and its role in whole-child education. Master’s degree preferred.
