JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the Strategy Engagement and Membership team within the Practice Standards and Capability team, you will join a small and dynamic team providing capability services to the GCFP. The team brings together expertise to develop strategy, engagement plans and build the profile of the Profession as we continue our efforts to grow and evolve its reach and impact.
We are looking for a talented individual with the skills to help support the Head of Strategy Engagement and Membership to scale up and amplify the GCFP, who has a good understanding of the latest thinking and can apply this to the strategic direction and route we should take.
This role would suit someone with an extensive counter fraud or economic crime background, combined with previous experience of developing communications strategies, delivering engaging and educational conferences and developing publications.
They should be passionate about challenging the status quo, making difference, fighting fraud, developing capability and shaping how the public sector effectively understands and reduces the impact of fraud. The role is interesting, demanding and time bound. If you enjoy taking ownership of your own work, communicating proactively and supporting the development of counter fraud across the public sector, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

KEY DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing line management, development and support for up to 5 members of the Strategy, Engagement & Membership Team.
  • Oversee the Governance of the GCFP Profession, GCFP Board, Cross Sector Advisory Group and other stakeholder groups.
  • Leading the engagement and communication strategy for the PSC teams and the GCFP, including the publication of articles, frequently asked questions , newsletters, journals, blogs etc.
  • Organising the annual GCFP Membership Conference (held in October each year) by supporting the team in the planning and delivery of a high quality professional learning conference for members.
  • Working closely with the GCFP Board and collaboratively with other PSC and PSFA teams to highlight and champion counter fraud capability across the public sector (e.g. when new policies and standards are released).
  • Growing the range of membership benefits across the GCFP.
  • Engaging with member and prospective member organisations to grow and promote the GCFP. This will include some representational work at sectoral events and may require you to deliver presentations occasionally.
  • Leading on bespoke projects that will support and enhance the profession.
  • Be responsible for the management of GCFP membership and learning personal data, ensuring strict compliance with General Data Protection Regulations and the Data Protection legislation.
