Within the University of Strathclyde, Strathclyde Catering provides a range of food and drink services to the staff and corporate clients across the campus. Strathclyde Catering is run as a commercial business on a self-funded basis and generates approximately £2M per annum with further expansion activities planned.
The University is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Hospitality Operations Manager who has the passion and desire to assist the Deputy Hospitality Operations Manager (DHOM) to lead a team of over 20 staff across several sites on campus. Operations are varied including conference centre catering, delivered catering and VIP events such as weddings and university dinners.
The Assistant Hospitality Operations Manager (AHOM) will have a key role in assisting the DHOM with operational management responsibilities, team development, health and safety and food hygiene focuses.
We are looking for a positive and motivational person who is energetic and flexible with a proven track record of operating and aligning the business with customer needs and driving continuous improvement and financial accountability to ensure the provision of first-class catering services which exceed customer expectations.
