Description:
The Crossing Resort is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Hotel Manager. Great opportunity for a qualified individual wanting seasonal work with winters off for travel. We are a family-owned resort located on Highway 93, approximately 80 kms from Lake Louise, AB consisting of a 65-room motel, a large Restaurant, Café, Pub, commercial kitchen, gas station and a general store. There are 45 associate dorm style rooms and 11 small cabins.
SUMMARY
As an Assistant Hotel Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily operations and enhancing guest satisfaction within our establishment. Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, you will leverage your leadership and hotel experience to supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your strong communication and organizational skills will facilitate effective collaboration with various departments, while your proficiency in front desk operations and computer applications like Microsoft Word and Excel will support efficient hotel management. Tasks
- Provide administrative support to the Front Office Manager and other departments, as needed
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and requests with professionalism
- Assist with training new staff members
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely manner, reporting them to the manager, when necessary
- Manage group arrivals and departures
- Assist with daily operations of housekeeping, managing arrivals, departures and stay overs
- Assist with maintaining common inboxes, ensuring timely correspondence
- Balancing cash reports and maintain a balanced audit daily
- Preform front line duties when needed
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Prior front desk experience required (In hotel setting is an asset)
- Excellent customer service, problem solving and leadership skills
- Computer skills- Proficiency in word/excel/outlook as well as experience using hotel property management systems
- Has strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for enhancing guest experience
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Available for various shifts including on-call responsibilities
