Job Description Oaks Wellington Hotel is currently looking for a hard-working, dedicated and experienced individual for the role of Assistant Housekeeper on a full time basis. The role of an Assistant Housekeeper is to support the Housekeeping Manager in all duties of the housekeeping operation. You will coordinate, schedule and supervise the housekeeping team, carry out inspections to ensure proper cleaning is being done, and manage the inventory of all cleaning supplies. You will provide on-the-job training, and facilitate communications with guests, within the housekeeping team and with other hotel departments. Expected minimum hours: 40 hours per week Location: 89 Courtenay Place, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand Hourly range: $29 NZD per hour. (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Payment of wages will be processed on a fortnightly basis by direct credit to your nominated bank account. Annual salary approximate: $60,320 (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Approved sponsor: Minor Hotels Australasia Limited (previously Oaks Hotels & Resorts Limited) Schedule 1 - Specific Terms and Conditions Job Title: Assistant Housekeeper Job Level: Team Member Employment Status: Full Time - Permanent Commencement Date: To be confirmed Reporting to: Housekeeping Manager Breaks: Employees are entitled to paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks based on the number of hours worked. Breaks will be taken at times agreed to by the employer and employee or when the law says breaks must be taken. Leave Entitlements: As per Employment New Zealand - Leave and holidays | Employment New Zealand and Holidays Act 2003. Period of Notice: Four weeks Qualifications To be successful in this role you will have: Minimum 6 months supervisory experience in a Housekeeping environment Experience controlling and maintaining budgets, all operating supplies, replacements and consumables Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong eye for detail, and ability to follow procedures and set the standard for cleanliness Basic computer knowledge Availability to work full time hours, including availability on weekends and public holidays General Terms and Conditions 1.
