Job Description:
This position is a combination of Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor and Room Attendant.

When fulfilling Assistant Housekeeper Supervisor duties when the Housekeeping Manager is unavailable, the required duties will be:

• Overseeing and managing the work of housekeeping staff
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of premises
• Maintaining inventory and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Assigning tasks to staff and inspecting rooms and common areas to meet established standards
• Managing and employee shifts, training and motivation.

As a Room Attendant, the duties will be:

· Cleaning of the guest rooms to standard as assigned

• Performing very physical labour
• Providing excellent customer services as per the standards of the hotel
• Perform side duties as required
• Works closely with other departments to achieve maximum guest satisfaction
• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must be neat, professional, and well groomed
• Must possess good organizational/time management skills
• Must be self-motivated – work independently with little supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds (lifting above the shoulder is also required), and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to relate well to hotel guests and employees
• Guest-service oriented; team player

  Work Schedule: Part-time leading to full-time.
  Must be able to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  Pay: From $17.72 per hour (Room Attendant), $18.44 (Assistant Housekeeper)
  Union position.
  Health & Dental package is available after completing probationary period and maintaining 24 working hours per week.

  Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
