QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible HR experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, with a preference for Kuwait Labor Law expertise preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated experience in HR programming, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while meeting deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement employee recruitment, records maintenance, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Direct workload and task assignments for HR office staff to ensure timely and successful completion of responsibilities.
  • Oversee vehicle fleet operations, drivers, and related administrative tasks.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for HR information systems, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Review existing policies, research and develop new policies, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations, advising leadership on compliance and policy updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with leadership, faculty, and staff to support recruitment, hiring, and employee satisfaction initiatives.
  • Supervise the employment selection process, including reviewing applications and facilitating search committees.
  • Oversee employee ID card production and HR-related documentation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director on compensation administration.
  • Supervise benefits administration and ensure accurate processing in compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Develop and oversee timelines and procedures for job evaluations, performance evaluations, and employment agreements.
  • Lead, train, and evaluate HR department staff, setting performance objectives and providing development opportunities.
  • Manage the development and updates of employee handbooks and job descriptions.
  • Support the integration of HR functions into institutional information systems.
  • Maintain HR policy and procedure manuals, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Manage the HR department budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
