Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager – Talent & Culture to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will have proven HR experience in a 5-star hotel environment, with strong expertise in recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, and employee retention.


This role will focus exclusively on building a strong talent pipeline, developing employees, strengthening engagement, and supporting a positive employee experience. The position will not be responsible for day-to-day HR operations, payroll, employee administration, or other operational HR activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for hotel positions across all departments.
  • Partner with department heads to understand manpower requirements and hiring needs.
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified hospitality professionals.
  • Manage job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future vacancies.
  • Develop relationships with hospitality schools, recruitment agencies, and other talent sources.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Monitor recruitment timelines and support timely closure of vacancies.
  • Maintain recruitment reports and track key recruitment metrics.

Talent Development

  • Identify employee development needs in collaboration with department heads.
  • Support the implementation of talent development and career growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development programs based on identified employee and business needs.
  • Support succession planning and internal career development initiatives.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support talent development plans.
  • Encourage internal mobility and career progression opportunities.
  • Support performance development discussions and employee growth initiatives.

Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and activities.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys and support action planning based on feedback.
  • Organize employee recognition and appreciation initiatives.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Build strong relationships with employees across all departments.
  • Identify engagement concerns and work with management to address them.
  • Support employee communication and culture-building initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee activities, celebrations, and hotel engagement events.

Employee Retention & Employee Experience

  • Develop initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce turnover.
  • Monitor employee feedback, engagement levels, and retention trends.
  • Conduct or support stay interviews to understand employee needs and concerns.
  • Analyse exit interview feedback and identify recurring retention challenges.
  • Work with department heads to identify factors affecting employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Recommend initiatives to improve the overall employee experience.
  • Support a strong onboarding experience in coordination with the HR Operations team.
  • Promote a culture that encourages employee growth, recognition, and long-term engagement.

HR Business Partnership

  • Partner with department heads to understand people-related challenges and talent requirements.
  • Provide guidance on recruitment, employee development, engagement, and retention matters.
  • Support managers in creating a positive employee experience within their departments.
  • Prepare HR reports and presentations related to recruitment, engagement, talent development, and retention.
  • Track and report key HR metrics such as turnover, retention, time to hire, recruitment status, engagement, and internal promotions.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably with experience in 5-star hotel.
  • Strong experience in hospitality recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience in employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Experience in talent development, training coordination, succession planning, and career development.
  • Strong understanding of hotel departmental structures and hospitality workforce requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work closely with department heads and senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
