Your Opportunity Our residential aged care facility caters to men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or who have experienced financial or social disadvantage. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing to join our Aged Care team. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values respect, empathy, and professionalism. This role is hands-on and involves assisting with daily living activities, medication support, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and ensuring each resident’s individual care plan is followed. Shifts: 1. Mon – Sun morning shifts; 2 part time 2. Fri – Mon morning shifts; part time 3. Max term full time; Sun to Thurs morning shifts 4. Max term full time; Tuesday to Saturday morning shifts Your key responsibilities will be to: Support residents with dignity and respect, encouraging independence in daily routines. Provide assistance with personal care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and meal support. Follow individualised care plans and promptly report changes in health or behaviour. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Respond to emergency call bells in a timely manner. Work as an effective and supportive team member. Attend and complete all mandatory training and competency requirements. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Requirements for Success Certificate III in Aged Care/Assistant in Nursing or currently pursuing a Diploma in Nursing. Previous experience in aged care is highly desirable. Strong commitment to resident-centred care. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Respectful and compassionate communication skills.
