Job Description: About the role: As an Assistant in Nursing in our Perioperative Services area, you will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to provide essential support before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will contribute to maintaining a safe environment, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, equipment readiness, and patient comfort. Second Year Nursing students are encouraged to apply. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with patient preparation for surgery, including hygiene, positioning, and safe transfer. Supporting Registered and Enrolled Nurses within scope of practice. Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of theatres, and equipment. Assisting with restocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory control. Providing compassionate interaction and reassurance to patients and families. Adherence to infection prevention and control standards and Work Health & Safety procedures. Contributing to smooth patient flow through pre-op, PACU, and theatre areas.
