Excellerate Services are recruiting for: Assistant Installation Technicians (4 Roles Available) Key responsibilities Support site surveys by taking measurements, photos, and notes, and helping identify suitable mounting/power options. Assist with installing sensors, gateway hardware, brackets, trunking/clips, labels, and basic cable management. Help commission devices using mobile/tablet apps under supervision (record serial numbers, confirm “online” status, basic checks). Carry tools, manage fixings/stock, keep the work area tidy, and maintain a professional on-site presence. Complete job paperwork: checklists, photo packs, device IDs, and “as found/as left” notes. Report issues to the lead technician (site access problems, damaged kit, power/connectivity constraints). Support returns, swaps, and basic maintenance visits (e.g., sensor replacements/battery swaps where applicable). Essential requirements Practical aptitude (DIY/installation/mechanical/electrical interest) and willingness to learn. Comfortable working on customer sites and following instructions/processes carefully. Good communication and a polite, professional manner with site staff. Physically able to do field work (carrying equipment, using ladders where trained, working in varied environments). Full UK driving licence (or working towards) and willingness to travel. Desirable Any exposure to field work: telecoms, IT installs, alarms/CCTV, AV, structured cabling, or facilities/maintenance. Basic understanding of Wi-Fi/Ethernet and using smartphone apps for work tasks. Working Hours: Various hours/days Location: Field-based across the UK (regular travel required) Salary Details: £ 13.45
