The Department of Mathematics and Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Pittsburg State University invites applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor of Computer Science.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – TIME OF HIRE

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
    Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. This degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE –

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Experience teaching undergraduate Computer Science courses (1 + yrs)
  • Evidence of exceptional undergraduate teaching
    Industry experience in Computer Science (1 + yrs)
