Description
PURPOSE  The I.T. Assistant will provide assistance to the I.T. Help Desk staff with supporting end users concerning Information Technology needs.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.  • Install and upgrade computers and peripherals • Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed  • Service equipment according to established preventative maintenance schedule  • Setup of iPhones and iPads  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service   • Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, carrying, etc.  • Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately  • Perform related work as required  MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  • High School Diploma or GED  • Experience with maintenance and repair of PC computer hardware and computer peripherals  • Experience working with Windows Operating System, MS Office Suite, Anti-virus software, and other productivity applications  • Knowledge of basic networking skills  CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  • Valid current Driver’s License  MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail  • Solid work history including excellent attendance record and superior work ethic  • Ability to maintain confidentiality  • Position may require occasional travel in Metro area  ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer  • Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally  • Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, reach and crouch to perform I.T. equipment setup and maintenance  • May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs  EQUIPMENT/TOOLS  • Laptop PC Baker Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
