PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Provide expert personal care services to guests, Assistant Hair stylist provides beauty services such as shampooing, cutting, colouring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp. Wash Hair & dry & Apply Colour (does not mix colours only apply) & hair treatments. She helps not only with the application of treatments but also with advising and recommending appropriate services via guest consultations. She is also involved with providing a more comprehensive treatment to her guests. She is expected to offer to her guests a beverage and provide movements after the service to create a more luxurious experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Apply health or sanitation standards
§ Ensure Consultation of Guest is done before performing services to access any reaction or allergy.
§ Follow the BBL policies and procedures
§ cut or permanently wave hair
§ maintain appointments timing
§ follow guest instructions
§ Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions.
§ Apply water, setting, straightening or waving solutions to hair and use curlers, rollers, hot combs and curling irons to press and curl hair
§ Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs.
§ Comb, brush, and spray hair or wigs to set style.
§ Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush.
§ Update and maintain guest information records, such as beauty services provided.
§ Report to the Manager the guest demands and dissatisfaction.
§ Attend training courses assigned by the Salon Manager.
