Connelly School of the Holy Child is excited to announce an opening for the position of Assistant Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual who is passionate about fostering the development of young athletes in both skill and character. You will work closely with the Head Junior Varsity Coach to support the lacrosse program through effective coaching, mentorship, and fostering a positive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and execution of practices, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Provide individual attention to players to enhance their skills and game strategies. Help in managing team dynamics and encouraging a supportive and inclusive team culture. Communicate regularly with the Head Coach regarding player progress and any team issues. Assist with the logistics of games and practices, including transportation and equipment management. Promote academic balance and personal growth among student-athletes. Support the program’s goals related to player recruitment and retention. Attend games, practices, and coaches’ meetings as required. As a Catholic, college preparatory school dedicated to the education of young women, Connelly School of the Holy Child provides an enriching athletic environment emphasizing character building and teamwork. Prior coaching experience or a strong playing background in lacrosse is preferred. Knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, and rules. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to mentoring student-athletes inside and outside of athletics. Ability to work collaboratively with the coaching staff and student-athletes. Availability to attend after-school practices, games, and occasional weekend competitions. Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus or must be obtained.
