As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and team performance. JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

  • Must be 18+, ideally 21+ due to management responsibilities and equipment operation.
  • Exceptional dedication to consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of all safety and health regulations, including local and state food handling guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and ordering systems.
  • Understand and comply with CA employment laws.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared to our standards, in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies.
  • Maintain and enforce rigorous cleaning and organization standards for the kitchen and all equipment.
  • Implement and uphold all sanitation and food production codes, including HACCP.
  • Operate and maintain all standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of The Plymouth Hotel as needed.
  • Develop and refine kitchen procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
