Hiring and teaching the hiring of quality people. Watch and quickly correct wasteful practices. Delegate and follow through – inspect what you expect. Ensure all staff is well trained and motivated with high morale. Maintain safe food handling procedures and cleanliness of kitchen. Learn what it takes to run a store – not a kitchen. Hands on supervision of all staff Develop a partnership relationship with all vendors. Enforce systems set in place and ensure others are doing the same. Discipline staff including managers. Keep recipe binders up to date, in good condition and easy to reach. Make recipe cards mandatory. Plan for teaching moments every day. Perform detailed line checks before every shift. Develop key people at the window and expo station. Constantly encourage communication and organization. Meet ticket time goals. Have uncompromising values for quality Understand equipment, basic repair and trouble-shooting skills. Always have a plan B, C and D. Requirements Requirements Minimum of 3 years of Kitchen Manager experience in a full-service restaurant preferably high-volume Demonstrated ability to provide amazing experience for customers and staff Demonstrated training development of staff Proven track record of results Ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to serve others, excellent people skills, problem solving skills, high standards, a strong work ethic and a continuous drive to improve.
