The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg is seeking a full-time Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individualto oversee kitchen scheduling, payroll, and provide essential operational support, ensuring smooth operations and assisting the kitchen leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of handling high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in managing payroll information.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly and professionally interact with team members, leadership, and external partners at all levels. Skilled in explaining processes, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns in a collaborative manner.
  • Prior experience and understanding of operations within the hospitality industry would be highly beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
  • High school diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Input and communicate kitchen schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Manage payroll duties, including tracking attendance, reviewing time punches, and addressing payroll inquiries.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements and arrange coverage through internal and external sources.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, coordinate training schedules, and ensure certifications are current.
  • Support monthly food and annual equipment inventory counts, ensuring accurate tracking to assist in budgeting and operational assessments.
  • Provide support to kitchen leadership with report preparation, SOP updates, and other operational tasks.
