Employee Benefits: 100% paid base coverage (Health, Vision, & Dental insurance). 401(k) Paid Holidays Paid Sick Paid Vacation EAP - Employee Assistance Program O2EPCM, Inc. https://o2epcm.com/ Position: Assistant Land Surveyor Salary Range: $108,000 - $116,000 Location: Onsite (Los Angeles, CA) Type: Full-Time Duties: 9.1 Assist the Land Survey Party Chief in conducting field surveys, including boundaries, topographic, and as-built surveys for various district projects. 9.2 Set up, operate, and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, smart level, and data collectors. 9.3 Accurately measure distances, angles, and elevations, and record survey data according to established District and industry standards. 9.4 Maintain detailed and legible survey field notes, sketches, and photographic records to document survey conditions and findings. 9.5 Upload and organize raw survey data for processing in CAD software. 9.6 Mark and maintain survey control points, stakes, and monuments in the field to ensure consistent reference for design. 9.7 Ensure proper care, calibration, storage, and inventory of survey equipment, tools, and safety gear. 9.8 Provide rapid field support for urgent and emergency survey requests, such as facility damage assessments, safety hazard evaluations, or time-sensitive construction issues. 9.9 Comply with all safety protocols and ensure safe working conditions at survey sites, including traffic control when required. 9.10 Performs other related tasks required. Required Experience: 10.1 Three (3) years full-time paid professional experience in performing routine, non-technical work in a surveying party, including one (1) year on the job field training or experience 10.2 Experience interpreting civil engineering drawings 10.3 Experience in data collection by setting up and operating total stations, levels, GPS, and measuring lines, elevations and positions Required Education: 10.3 Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or surveying, with courses in field surveying on both plane and route surveying (with three [3] years of experience) OR 10.4 Two (2) years of civil engineering course work and four (4) years of experience as a member of a field survey party performing land surveying work in making precis readings, measurements and tests in the field, including one (1) year in of the on-the-job field training Knowledge/Skills: 10.4 Ability to make precise measurements 10.5 Ability to make accurate mathematical calculations and create primary or basic civil engineering sketches 10.6 CAD Software 10.7 Excellent written and verbal communications skills Preferred Certification: 10.8 A valid Land Surveyor-In-Training Certificate, issued by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Please note, if you move forward in the submission process, you will be asked to provide the following below.
