JOB DESCRIPTION:
The University of Toledo’s Department of Human Services seeks an Assistant Lecturer for a 9-month position in Counselor Education.
Primary responsibilities for this exemplary counselor educator are teaching master’s level counseling courses and contributing to the overall success of the Counselor Education Program. Other responsibilities include advising counseling students. Excellence in teaching is expected. Faculty members are expected to contribute to teaching, program, departmental and professional service, and mentor students throughout their program of study.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will hold licensure in the state of Ohio as an LPC/LPCC and have experience providing clinical and/or training supervision to counseling students. The candidate will hold an earned Master’s degree in Counseling from a CACREP accredited program and evidence of strong potential for success in teaching, and professional service. Candidate should have capability to teach a variety of core courses to include experience teaching clinical mental health courses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred candidates will have a doctorate degree in Counselor Education and show evidence of a multicultural and social justice worldview as evidenced by a professional interest in, experience working with, and advocating for underserved populations.
