Description
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment. You will be responsible for: supporting the IP Specialist on the IP commercialization project/plan (“Project”) and supporting a Legal Advisor on the leasing and venue hiring work by engaging internal and external stakeholders and driving the Project and other assigned matters forward according to required timelines; drafting and reviewing legal documents, venue hiring agreements, leases, licensing agreements, practice notes, SOPs, and guidelines; undertaking legal research and providing legal advice relating to the Project and/or as assigned tasks; preparing, settling and advising on papers for the Board, panels, committees of the Authority or its subsidiaries or such other bodies as directed and attending at meetings; instructing, liaising and working with counsel, trustees, nominees and professionals, and monitoring their performance as appropriate; providing advice to business directly on any legal issues/questions or as otherwise required by his/her supervisor or GM of Legal from time to time; and performing any other duties from time to time as the Authority may reasonably direct. You should be a Hong Kong solicitor duly admitted under the Legal Officers Ordinance with 4 - 5 years post qualification experience; have experience in managing commercial IP projects and/or venue hiring in commercial sectors or in law firms; have strong business acumen; be commercially minded with positive Can-Do attitude; have wide exposure in general commercial practice including e-commerce, online platforms, intellectual property, leasing, venue hiring, technology and licensing etc.; have experience with art and cultural events or public body’s work will be an advantage; demonstrate excellent analytical and interpersonal skills; be able to work independently; and have excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
