Job Title: Logistics Warehouse Manager
Main Location: Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin
Normal Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. However, flexibility is required depending on the needs of the business.


JOB SUMMARY:

As Logistics Warehouse Manager, you will have responsibility for a large and ever expanding operation in the North of Dublin. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious person to take a management role in our logistics operation. Our main site and off site locations, with a combination of high bay racking, shelving and bulk storage, holds 15,000 pallet locations for a combination of large and medium volume customers with a diverse cross section of requirements. With new customers and new developments on the horizon, now is a great time for the right person to make a name for themselves in an exciting and growing operation.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the logistics warehouses in both Ballyboughal and external locations
  • Manage the warehouse operative and team leads as required with the receipt, storage, picking, wrapping, quality checking and dispatch of all goods
  • Carry out training, lead group meetings and complete tool box talks with the team
  • Complete scheduled team meetings to discuss volumes, objectives and issues as required
  • Ensuring staff training is up to date and records and licenses are filed
  • Work with customers and their suppliers to forecast and control upcoming workloads
  • Manage the onboarding of new customers including planning for volumes, resource, space requirements and optimal configurations
  • Ensure optimal processes in place, identifying gaps and proposing and implementing improvements, with the support of the management team
  • Instil a strong Health and Safety mindset, ensuring all protocols are followed
  • Reviewing weekly audits results, completing non-conformance reviews and promoting safe working practices
  • Ensure MHE checks are carried out and arranging suppliers repairs as required
  • Liaise with the facilities manager to ensure any preventative maintenance is carried out and any issues in the warehouse or yard are tacked quickly and safely
  • Completion of accident or incident reports as required
  • To be involved in any task that may be required by management to improve the utilisation or service improvements of the operation
  • Flexibility to support the operation at times of high or unexpected volume (e.g. Christmas, bank holidays, customer peaks)
