ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE GARDENER - PART-TIME, BLACKWALL (E14)

Hours of work: 16 per week, ideally 8 hours per day across two days
Rate of pay: £13.85 per hour

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years’ practical gardening experience in a professional or estate setting
• At least one horticultural qualification (e.g. RHS Level 2 or equivalent)
• Confident using a range of horticultural machinery and tools
• Ability to work independently with a good eye for detail
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

The Assistant Maintenance Gardener will support in the efficient and effective management of the estate gardens, plants and trees. The day-to-day gardening duties include, but not limited to:

• General upkeep of the estate gardens and grounds
• Hedge cutting and pruning
• Lawn care, including mowing and strimming
• Weeding, mulching, and border maintenance
• Planting and seasonal plant care
• Leaf blowing and garden tidying
• Ensure that all equipment is stored secure and kept in good working order
• Supporting the Head Gardener with other tasks as required
