Hospitality is a work of heart,​ Join us and become a Heartist®. Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team in Sepang, Malaysia. In this role, you will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of equipment and systems in a tropical climate. Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors Support the management of maintenance budgets and control expenses Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports for upper management Participate in equipment procurement and upgrade decisions Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate rapid resolutions Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities Assist in training and developing maintenance team members Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures Address specific maintenance challenges related to the tropical climate in Sepang Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or related field Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems Proficiency in maintenance management systems and CMMS software Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Malaysia Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance Experience in budget management and cost control Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed Knowledge of local maintenance regulations in Malaysia Familiarity with tropical climate maintenance challenges and solutions
