JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a key member of the property leadership team and an ambassador for the Tricon brand and community. This role supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing property operations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and service delivery across residential and commercial spaces. The Assistant Maintenance Manager ensures properties are rent-ready, resident experiences are positive, and maintenance services meet the highest standards of timeliness, safety, and quality. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, this position assumes full leadership accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER & RESIDENT EXPERIENCE

  • Act with integrity, upholding Tricon’s core values and Standards of Excellence while focusing on resident satisfaction and long-term trust.
  • Communicate clearly with residents on maintenance requests, service updates, and timelines, while promoting a strong service culture among staff, contractors, and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems and residential building codes.
  • Skilled in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accountability.
  • Knowledge of budgeting basics and financial acumen.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of multi-residential or hospitality-based maintenance experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
